A 2021 Delight In Design's Review

A 2021 Delight In Design's Review

As we think about getting together with family and friends for the holiday, it is often time to reflect on the year and think about our work family!  While 2021 offered its challenges in the way of COVID, we at Delight In Designs didn’t miss a beat. In fact I am very excited to say that we actually GREW! We grew in the number of sales we had at our little shop, grew dramatically in the number of design clients and we grew in the number of employees! We have been strategizing for 2022 since October and I can tell you we have BIG things coming your way! I will also take this time to reflect on our learning opportunities. We learned how important it is to bring on employees that fit culturally and moreover offer our clients professionalism, accuracy, and FUN! – Have you met Jerry?!!!  We’re taking the time to hire right, as this is key to treating our customers to the experience they deserve!

Looking Back at 2021

I am reminded of how we set out to hit our financial goal of one million dollars by year's end – we hit it in October 2021!!! I am reminded that Leah took the initiative to learn new software and our clients are LOVING it! Cate was presented the opportunity to work on a great, high profile design project. Delight In Designs was award winning with Revue Magazine, HAT and West Michigan Women. We were asked to help initiate Grand Home Magazine (coming soon!) and published in the Inspiring Interiors 2021 coffee table book. I am also very proud to welcome Warren, Garry, Bill, Jerry, and Codie – we’re building quite a crew and our clients are noticing! I love that our team gets it done. I love that our team laughs. What more could we possibly ask for?!!!

A Peek at 2022 Goals

It offers a new initiative of “Love your home – List your house” where we are partnering with REMAX to offer homeowners the opportunity to have a renovator and a realtor in your home to help you decide! We’re taking a huge part in working with Hearst Publications, launching Grand Home Magazine, highlighting some of our design projects and some other surprises! We also are launching our podcast “Love Your Home” where we’ll have top industry leaders from West Michigan share their perspectives on all things home! There’s more to come, but I want to hold back some surprises! (Hint, we may be moving!)
